Program Specifics
Classes: It is possible for students to take a morning class and an afternoon class in the same session. In this scenario, the family needs to pack a lunch for the student each day. The OPPTAG staff will escort the student from the morning class to the afternoon class with a lunch break in between. The family should drop the student off at the morning class location and pick them up at the afternoon class location. Class Locations: Each Adventures! class will take place on the Iowa State University campus. Families will receive a map and directions to the classroom in the mail. Families are expected to drop off and pick up their child within 15 minutes of the start/end time each day. Families are also required to complete a permission form for any other person permitted or not permitted to transport the student. Instructors will have a list of allowable family members or friends that can pick up the student. Photo identification is required of any person picking up the student. Instruction: Each class is taught by a licensed educator. Class will begin at 9 am or 1 pm and conclude promptly at 12 pm or 4 pm each day. Breaks: Each instructor will provide the students with a short break throughout the class period. Students are welcome to bring a small snack to enjoy during this time. The OPPTAG Program will not provide any food items due to the potential for food allergies. Payment: Payment in full is expected before the class begins. Families will receive a University Bill from the Accounts Receivable Office at Iowa State University. Payment can be made by cash, check, money order and Visa or Mastercard. If you have questions about the billing statement, please call the OPPTAG Office at (515-294-1772). Questions or Comments: The OPPTAG Office will operate under the University's Summer Hours Policy. We will be open from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm from May 15th - August 15th. All other business days the office is open from 8 am - 5 pm. You may reach our staff at 515-294-1772 or opptag@iastate.edu. |
