Explorations!

EXPLORATIONS! is our one-week residential program for students entering grades 8-10. These students get a taste of college life while focusing on an area not typically available to precollegiate students in their traditional school setting.

Social activities allow student time to relax, have fun, become better acquainted with other academically gifted students, and get to know themselves better in the process. Iowa State University offers indoors and outdoor recreational facilities for a wide variety of physical activities that the resident assistants and OPPTAG staff will coordinate for the students after a day of academic challenges.

Each session culminates with an open house. You, your parents, relatives and friends are invited to celebrate your accomplishments and view your projects on the final day of the program.
