Iowa State University's Office of Precollegiate Programs for Talented and Gifted (OPPTAG) and the University of Iowa's Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development are pleased to announce a cooperative talent search. The joint Iowa Talent Search will begin immediately. We have entered into this collaborative agreement in order to provide the highest level of service to Iowa students. OPPTAG will continue to offer it's exciting weekend and summer programs (ACES, CY-TAG, and EXPLORATIONS!).

This cooperative relationship will provide significant benefits to Iowa 's high ability students, their families, and their schools. Iowa students and their families will benefit from the opportunity to analyze their unique abilities with above-level testing technologies, and they will have access to the finest interpretive guides and resources available through the Belin-Blank Center.

The staff at both universities are committed to assisting high ability students to reach their potential by providing the highest level of service to them and to their families and educators. Orthopedic specialist Michael Conzemius recently designed the first successful elbow implant and developed surgical techniques for a total elbow replacement in dogs suffering from severe arthritis.
